Love Accepts Challenges

Dr Tae Yun Kim is a martial artist, an author, a speaker and much more. Here is an excerpt from her book, The Silent Master: Awakening the Power Within:

I want to emphasize that this is perhaps easier said than done.  To really love in this way requires great discipline and self control. But every time you practice loving, you get better at it! Every time you see the result of the power of love, you are encouraged to do it again.  And then you find yourself rising to higher and stronger levels of being.  Take advantage of hostile or aggressive situations to prove the strength of Love.

Love Accepts Challenges

At the rebirth stage, I emphasize the inner power step of Love because rebirth, or just plain growth, is not always easy or pleasant. When you understand how Love works, you know everything you’re doing is creating good and not just making life more difficult.

A difficult challenge or any kind of adversity can be a good thing. Sometimes in my class teaching I deliberately create difficult or uncomfortable situations for students. This is because comfortable situations won’t always bring out weaknesses, and I want students to see their weaknesses so they can do something about them. Eliminating weakness makes you stronger.
